SAT Math Challenge †Crazy Exponents

So you probably know your exponent basics: Add the exponents, if you multiply the bases; multiply the exponents if you have an exponent to an exponent. You probably even know your negative exponents and your fraction exponents. So what could possibly go wrong, if you get an SAT question that deals with basic exponent rules? Well, try out this beast of a challenge problem (and then, watch my explanation video below!). If x^y 0, then which of the following must be true? y 0 y is odd xy is negative (A)Â   I only (B)Â   I II (C)Â   I III (D) II only (E)Â   None of the above.
